B127A-Series Extenders Send 4K Video Hundreds of Feet from the Source

Chicago, IL (April 6, 2021)—Tripp Lite, a global manufacturer of power protection and connectivity solutions, makes it easy to extend digital audio and 4K video hundreds of feet from the source in professional-grade installations.

Tripp Lite's new B127A-series extenders send signals from a video source to a display up to 230 feet away via Cat6 cable. With the assistance of a signal repeater, the signals can travel up to 400 feet from the source. A daisy-chainable extender can be used with up to four transceivers, adding 230 feet at each level in the chain.

The B127A extenders support 3840 x 2160 (4K x 2K) video resolutions, 4:4:4 color and 7.1-channel surround sound. For compatibility with a wide variety of devices, the series includes transmitters for HDMI, DisplayPort and USB-C source devices and receivers for HDMI and DisplayPort displays. Each transmitter also accommodates a local HDMI display. The extenders support Power over Cable (PoC), which allows the Cat6 cable to carry power along with audio/video signals. PoC provides placement flexibility for the extenders because it eliminates the need for an extra outlet at one end of the installation.
