CyberTouch Installs the first 32-foot-long touch wall at the Atlanta Braves Stadium

As the newly-built SunTrust Park Stadium in Atlanta opened its doors for its first MLB game, in the same facility, the onUp Experience welcomed fans of its own. The onUp Experience is based on the SunTrust Movement, where the goal is to educate fans and mesh financial learning with their love of baseball. The inside of the onUp Experience boasts a range of interactive mediums, the largest being a 32-foot, projected-capacitive multi-user, multi-touch interactive wall designed by the engineers at CyberTouch.

When conventional infrared touch technology was unable to meet the client’s multi-user needs, a more advanced touch technology known as projected capacitive, or PCAP was designed, engineered, manufactured and installed by CyberTouch. This custom-made CyberTouch projected-capacitive touch wall is the first of its kind due its sheer length of 32 feet and being unaffected by direct sunlight and liquids present in an experience center. Utilizing eight 55” commercial-grade, ultra-narrow bezel monitors, a custom CyberTouch PCAP touch frame was placed over the monitors, offering a smooth and uniform interactive surface where the user’s fingers slide effortlessly over the entire display canvas.

Projected-capacitive touch technology or PCAP allows every user to have their own 100-point simultaneous touch zone on the wall. PCAP is ideal for environments that are exposed to direct sunlight and/or liquids.
